Meeting Minutes

Jan. 6, 2003, 1:00pm

Student Union, room 419

Attending: Roy Achemire, Brad Bays, Jan Carlson, Jean Van Delinder, Sally Henderson

Not Attending: Tim Ireland, Lionel Raff

The meeting was called to order by Sally Henderson at 1:00. The agenda and support documents were distributed. The minutes of the Dec. 2 meeting were distributed and approved.

Item one:

It was determined that the committee would present to the Jan. 14, 2003 Faculty Council a recommendation of the following:

Elimination of the 26 year age minimum for retirement contribution

Elimination of the 1 year waiting period for retirement contribution

Accumulation (tracking) of all sick leave hours (not capping at 1600)

Addition of 457b as a retirement contribution option

Item two:

Sally Henderson reported that she had been unable to meet with health benefits coordinators from OU and would attempt to do so ASAP.

Item three:

It was agreed that the meeting time of 1:00 would be acceptable for the current semester.

Meeting dates were determined for the remainder of the semester:

Jan Carlson volunteered to arrange meeting rooms.

There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:20pm.
